As a 200-hour certified registered yoga teacher (RYT), my classes aim to be welcoming, thoughtfully crafted, adaptable, and inclusive to all ages and levels. Each practice is met with intention, genuine care, and kind guidance. With a focus on good music, fun flows, alignment, strengthening, and balance, I hope my classes provide comfort and peace, uplifting joy and grounding focus — a nourishing feeling you can carry with you wherever you go next. ✌️

my guiding principles

Every class begins with an invitation to listen to the body, to move in a way that is supportive for this very specific moment in time

Every class warms gently but actively — awakening, digesting, releasing the crunchy bits

Every class heats the belly, the core, the center — providing strength to our inner being

Every class teaches moments of alignment and deeper body awareness

Every class has some kind of flow, a movement to movement in a choreography or vinyasa

Every class activates arms and strengthens back body

Every class winds down with intention, giving space to feel into the body, appreciate the body, and show kindness to the body

Every class ends with gratitude, with comfort, with joy, and with a sense of sweet easy peace

what students have shared

“Very thoughtful from start to finish. All of the music and transitions were very intentional and helpful. Maggie’s verbal guidance is gentle and kind throughout. Would love to practice with her again.” - CD

“Maggie’s teaching reflects her understanding of anatomy and alignment. She couples that with a thoughtful playlist that keeps me present. Energizing music with power positions or relaxing music when it’s time to calm down. This allows for a holistic experience for my mind and body.” - AJ

“Maggie has a great skill tailoring her classes to the various levels of experience of her students. As a beginner, never having taken yoga before, I felt very comfortable with Maggie, and always felt like I was in good hands.” - BT

“Maggie is welcoming and very approachable. She listens and therefore knows my individual needs and ability. She suggested chair yoga in addition to her classes and I’ve been happily practicing daily, comfortably.” -ST

A bit more about my history and practice (if that’s your thing;): I’ve worked out my entire life. I was a ballet dancer, gym rat, stair climber, spinner, part-time yogi, boot camp fanatic, and avid runner (ran two marathons, 3 100-mile relay races, and more halfs than I can count). Working out, running especially, always felt like something I had to do, to change my body and to calm my mind. It was an escape route. I always wanted to be an instructor too, for a gym or yoga studio, or a running coach. But I wasn’t fit enough, small enough, fast enough, and I never believed in myself enough. And so I worked out, and worked out, and worked out, until I had multiple knee and ankle injuries, and I knew I had to try something different than running hundreds of miles a month. I started taking yoga regularly, and then found a movement practice called The Class, a music driven fitness experience that combines cardio, strength training, yoga, and meditation (all the things I loved rolled into one class). It’s a practice that deeply moved me, changed me, and inspires me to this day. The Class offers a deeper connection with self, and cultivates a sense of clarity and presence. Soon after practicing, I realized my traditional way of working out wasn’t really working out for me — at least the way I’d been doing it for so many years. My escape into exercise was an exit strategy to deal with my anxiety and the discomfort I felt in my body. What I didn’t realize was how I could be intentional in my movement; how I could create meaning, calm, and centeredness in moving my body — and I could, actually, work my mind in the process. I could focus, breathe, and mend my self. I could awaken my body and shift my perspective. In movement, I revealed a peace and comfort that I had always hoped to find in fitness, but was so hidden beneath negative self talk and anxiety I never truly found it. Through breath, movement, and stillness, and most importantly, yoga teacher training, I finally found myself at the center of me.
